Little Treasures

This is a milk jug cover which came from my grandmother. Notice the tiny tea cup of top.

  1. Thank you popping in. I also love to knit (scarves, beanies, and cardigans). I also love those little jug covers they add to making a cosy home.

  2. I've never seen anything like that before...how intricate and wonderful. So neat that you have it...what a treasure.

  3. I just rang my mum and found out that my grandmother (Elsie) had it in her Glory Box in 1941 before she was married. That makes it nearly 70 years old!

  4. How lucky you are to have such a treasure from your grandma. Last year I went crazy about milk jug covers and crocheted a heap of them. Somewhere online I found the pattern for that one but never got around to it. I love the tea cup on top and wish I had made one now.

  6. That is absolutely beautiful and even more so with a family history.
I am attempting to teach myself to crochet, but so far it's just frustrating... I've picked up my knitting needles instead for a while.
I need a Grandmother to teach me some new tricks.

    best wishes
